We always carefully check the expiration date of foods but we tend to overlook the expiration date of cosmetics. Putting cosmetics past their expiry dates on your skin is as harmful as putting germs on your skin.  But please keep in your mind that expiry date of a cosmetic means not the dates on the box but its opened date. 1.
