Menstrual Cycle Diet!


Usually, female’s body is changing on 28 days’ cycle.

Estrogen and progesterone hormones are changing because of menstruation cycle.
 

Have you heard that it is better to go on a diet using menstruation cycle?

There are 4 categories of body rhythm by menstruation cycle.


1. Menstrual period (From beginning day of period to the end day)

Estrogen is estradiol, and it is active during the periods.
In the periods, you may look pale and anemia and menstrual pain may occur.
In the period, you may feel stressful and women in the period may suffer reduced stamina. It is not recommending to do excessive dieting.
The important thing in this period is a smooth emission of period blood. For that, women in the period should take an enough rest.


It is good to relax and keep the body warm.
Somebody think that they can lose their weight if they start a diet in the period.
But it is wrong.


Woman’s body in the period lacks iron, and she may feel dizzy. 
So, it is good to intake sea weed, raisins, meats that are high in iron.


2. Golden Age (A week after the period)


During the golden age of diet, you may feel so refreshed. As your period ends, the swelling subsides and your skin looks better.
As estrogen is active on this period, progesterone’s secretion becomes reduced, so that subcutaneous fat does not accumulate well.




In this period, if you excessively try to do a diet in nutrition and diet workout, you can see the visible effect more than expected. 
In this golden age, it is okay to increase the workout.
It is better to cut down on your carbohydrate intake, but recommended you to eat protein- and vegetable-based diet.


3. Ovulation period (After a week from the golden age)

In the ovulation period, body temperature goes down and goes up all at once.
Women in this period easily gain weight about 1~2 kg because of the metabolic imbalance.


In this period, it is the best to do not overeat. It is good to eat low-calorie diets regularly. If there is no weight loss, you better do exercises.
During this period, as progesterone levels rise, bowel movements get infrequent and it may occur constipation.
It is good to eat fiber-rich foods to prevent constipation.


4. A week before the menstruation.


Progesterone secretion continues to increase in this period, so women in this time feel exhausted and heavy, and their body gets swollen.
This can be a hardest time for women.
Women in this period can easily get weight.




Diet right before the menstruation may prevent blood and body energy circulation, occurring menstrual irregularity. It is better to massage the body and relax your tense muscles. Avoid sweet or salt foods to prevent swelling.
