Beauty Hacks:  How to Make Your Lipstick Last All Day







1.       Exfoliate Your Lips Regularly

Dry and chapped lips result in uneven lipstick application. Exfoliate your lips every week to remove dead skin and reveal smooth, silky lips. You can do this with a simple sugar scrub or your toothbrush. Your lipstick will glide on more easily and evenly.  


2.       Prep and Prime Your Lips

Before doing your lip makeup, prepare your lips by using a lip balm. Also, use a lip primer to smooth and refine lines on your lips. This will provide your lips the moisture it needs for smoother lipstick application. 


3.       Line Your Lips With A Lip Liner

Lining your lips will help to give your lipstick a deeper color that lasts longer. Make sure your liner isn’t darker than your lipstick so it doesn’t look unnatural. 


4.       Layer With Your Favorite Lipstick

Opt for longwear formulas like matte lipsticks. Matte lipsticks are known to be long lasting. Creamy and glossy lipsticks, as well as slip glosses, tend to wear off easily. 


5.       Set Your Lipstick With Powder

Blot excess lipstick with a piece of tissue. Lay a 1 ply piece of tissue over your lips. Use a powder brush to dust translucent loose powder over your lipstick. This will set the lipstick  and prevent the it from budging. 


6.       Use a Straw When Drinking

This will reduce the amount of lipstick that that rubs off your lips!  Also, you can opt for matte lipsticks for longer-lasting lip color.
